I love writing. Sometimes it's poetry, sometimes a story, and sometimes just something that's been bothering me enough to put it into words.
I write about life, people, relationships, things I've experienced and things I don't quite understand. I also have a terrible habit of getting distracted halfway through a perfectly sensible thought. So don't be surprised if a serious discussion suddenly involves my dogs or something completely unrelated.
Some of what I write here might eventually become part of a book. The rest? Well, we'll see.
Anyway, you're welcome to read, laugh, disagree, share your thoughts or simply wander around.
And if something here makes you laugh, think, or question something you've always believed, I'd love to hear about it. Who knows? We might end up having an interesting conversation.

Some thoughts don’t need a poem, a story, or several paragraphs of me overthinking them. They just need somewhere to go. This is that somewhere.
The Things I Don’t Say Aloud
My first collection of poetry.
I've always found it easier to write certain things than to say them aloud. Feelings, memories, conversations I wish had gone differently, and things I didn't quite understand at the time.
Some of these poems are personal. Others are inspired by people, relationships and ordinary moments that stayed with me.
I won't tell you what you're supposed to feel when you read them. That's entirely up to you.
And if even one poem makes you think, “I've felt that too,” I'd be happy to know.

Galdyr
I'm working on a fantasy story about a king who breaks a promise he made to a witch. As you can imagine, she doesn't take it particularly well.
That's about all I'm willing to reveal for now.
I'm still working on the plot, changing things here and there, and occasionally wondering why I decided to make my life difficult by inventing an entire kingdom.
For now, I'm calling it Galdyr. Whether that name survives until publication is another question entirely.
Hi, I’m Jennifer.
I'm a writer. But that's only one part of my life.
I'm also an entrepreneur, which means most of my days involve rather unromantic things: production, customers, deadlines, numbers, and solving problems that occasionally make me question my life choices.
And then I come home and write.
I know. Quite a combination.
But I've realised that running a business and writing aren't as different as they seem. Both involve understanding people, dealing with unexpected situations and occasionally wondering what on earth is going on.
I've always been curious about people. Why they behave the way they do, why certain memories refuse to leave us, why relationships change, and why we sometimes make decisions even when we know better.
Naturally, I spend far too much time thinking about these things.
I love poetry because sometimes a few lines can express what several pages cannot. And I love fiction because I get to invent people, put them in difficult situations and then figure out how to get them out.
Or make things worse. Depends on the story.
Outside writing and business, I love animals, travelling, long conversations, strange ideas, humour and creating things from scratch.
I also have a habit of starting new projects before finishing the previous ones. I'm working on that. Apparently.
This website is one of those projects, and I'm rather pleased that it finally exists.
